Super-easy Bookmark

Want to do some thing useful in 10 minutes with scrap lying at your home?

Skimming through my waste material, I ended up making a pretty bookmark in almost no time. Making a lovely bookmark couldn't be simpler than this!

Here's an easy tutorial for the bookmark.

Step 1 :

Gather all the supplies. You will need a patterned paper, a pair of scissors, a ribbon, glue, a ruler, and a pencil. I have used an old calender in the tutorial. You may use an old magazine or even a gift wrapping paper with a pattern of your choice.

Step 2 :

With a ruler, draw a rectangle on the paper and cut it out.

Step 3 :

Keep the rectangle on the paper and trace it. Cut out the other rectangle too. Now, you have two identical rectangles.

Step 4 :

Draw anything on one of the rectangles and carve it out. I have drawn a pen, as it was easy to cut out. You may draw anything, or write your name in bubbly font. Remember, it should be easy to cut out.

Step 5 :

Paste the two rectangles, with the patterned sides facing each other.

Step 6 :

Punch a hole on the top of the bookmark and tie a cute ribbon.

VoilĂ ! Your bookmark is ready.. Place it in your favorite novel :)

Watercolor & Ink Quote

Hey!

Finally my first post :D

I started with a dull watercolor wash as the background for my quote. With flora as the theme, I drew flowers and plants at the bottom. I wrote the quote with a brown felt pen. Also, I gave the flora a finishing using a black pen.
Do comment if you find it nice or want a tutorial for the watercolor wash.
